Project Overview
This project combines Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies with 3D modeling and printing automation.
It enables users to:
-
Upload a GPS track file (
.gpx,.kml, etc.), -
Automatically convert it into a 3D printable STL model, and
-
Use IoT controls to power on the 3D printer remotely and start the printing process — all through a web interface.
The system bridges cloud computing, geospatial data processing, and industrial IoT device control, offering a smart, end-to-end workflow from GPS data to physical 3D output
Project Goals
The mission of this project is to bridge geospatial data, cloud computing, and industrial IoT technologies to create a fully automated system that transforms real-world GPS tracks into physical 3D-printed models.
By combining IoT automation with 3D modeling and printing, the system aims to make digital-to-physical transformation seamless, accessible, and intelligent — empowering users to visualize, personalize, and materialize their journeys or data with just a few clicks.
